TaskFocus ("the app", shown on the Home Screen as "Pomodoro") is a Pomodoro focus timer published by Le Nhung Team ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data the app and the third-party services it uses collect, and the choices you have. The app has no user accounts, shows no ads, does not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and we do not run our own servers.
Your activities (targets), focus sessions, statistics and settings are stored on your device. If iCloud is turned on for the app, they are synced through your own private iCloud account (Apple CloudKit) so they appear on your other devices. We cannot read this data; it is handled by Apple under the Apple Privacy Policy. You can turn sync off in iOS Settings › your name › iCloud, and deleting the app removes the data stored on the device.
When you update from an older version, the app reads the old version's data that is cached on your device once, to move it into the new storage. That data is not sent to us.
If you turn on Deep Focus, the app uses Apple's Screen Time API to block the apps you choose while you focus. Apple shows your choice to the app only as anonymous tokens, so we never see which apps or websites you picked or how you use them, and this information never leaves your device.
Home-screen widgets, the Live Activity and Siri / Shortcuts actions read the timer state and today's activities from storage shared between the app and its extensions on your device. Focus and reminder notifications are scheduled locally on your device. None of this is sent to us.
We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used (for example screens viewed, timer and purchase events, an app instance ID, device model, OS version and an approximate region derived from your IP address), Firebase Crashlytics to receive crash reports, and Firebase Remote Config to adjust settings without an app update. The app uses the version of Firebase Analytics that does not access the advertising identifier (IDFA). This data is not linked to your name, email or other contact details and is not used for advertising. See Firebase privacy and Google's Privacy Policy.
TaskFocus Pro (a yearly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase) is sold and processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your payment details. The app checks your purchases with Apple on your device to unlock Pro.
TaskFocus is a general-audience app. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information, contact us at the email below and we will help you have it removed.
